Roma Arte in Nuvola is not simply a fair dedicated to the art market: it is a cultural event offering a wide-ranging programme of exhibitions and events, in which institutions are invited to play an active role, helping to shape a new and distinctive identity.
It is precisely this dialogue between the market, culture and institutions that makes Roma Arte in Nuvola a unique event on the Italian art scene.

Installation curated by Adriana Polveroni
For the 2026 edition of Roma Arte in Nuvola, Pietro Fortuna presents a series of works created between 2016 and 2024. The meaning of this installation is faithful to the ideas the artist has developed over many years and expressed in numerous other works: placing the act of looking before vision, and presentation before representation. The artist conceives of the work as a ceremony that, by abandoning narrative conventions, restores the most intimate sense of our inescapable face-to-face encounter with reality.
The apparent coolness of the proposed installation, which Fortuna describes in terms of “thing-like presences”, and its reluctance to please the viewer, are intended to underline his refusal to reduce the work to an image, restoring to art the authenticity of its very being.
Water Life
Curated by Alberto Dambruoso
Visionary artist Fausto Roma, from Ceccano, returns to exhibit in the Italian capital after the major solo exhibition dedicated to him at Palazzo Venezia in 2014, on the occasion of the sixth edition of Roma Arte in Nuvola. Curated by Alberto Dambruoso, the exhibition will feature a series of paintings and graphic works from the Water Life series, created between 2020 and 2024, focusing on imaginative yet lifelike representations of marine life.

The project draws inspiration from a famous reflection by Grazia Deledda – We are reeds, and our fate is the wind – which becomes a universal metaphor for the human condition. Through his spare, archaic visual language, Filia evokes the image of a reed that does not rigidly resist the storm and risk breaking, but bends, adapts and rises again when the wind subsides. The installation thus explores the inherent fragility of human beings in the face of forces greater than themselves, while celebrating their extraordinary capacity for resilience, survival and renewal.
