The volume is the result of a collaboration between 2501 and Milanese photographer Guido Borso, produced by Spazio c21 in Reggio Emilia.

Art and Public Archaeology: Best Practices and Urban Regeneration.
The Case of Virus Group in Corviale

Organizing Institution: Soprintendenza Speciale di Roma

The workshop discusses experiences and strategies of public art and archaeology in Rome, focusing on the exhibition dedicated to the Virus Group currently ongoing at the Drugstore Museum on Via Portuense 317. The exhibition chronicles the work of Giulio Ceraldi, Consuelo Chierici, Stefano De Santis, and Giancarlo Savino, artists residing in Corviale who have been engaged in public art practices for decades. It also offers an opportunity to reflect on the historical and epistemological relationship between contemporary art and archaeological sites.
